Assure all company safety policies and procedures are followed to prevent all unsafe actions, processes and behaviors observed.Ensure safety and environmental regulation compliance.Manage FRA and railroad specific safety compliance.Partner with Contract Administrator to review and process financial aspects of contracts including billing, payments, etc.Provide ongoing support to Construction/Operations for efficient and profitable execution of work including scheduling, procurement and change order/supplemental work processes.Maintain documentation of quantities and value of work estimated/completed to support forecasting for future project performance.Provide supervision of field crew members/foreman or superintendents, as required.Establish project objectives, procedures, schedules, and performance requirements.Assist in preparation of bids, including assisting with take-offs, requests for pricing, project set up, quality control, design reviews and other related tasks.Review change order drawings and specifications develop, track and negotiate proposals and change orders.Observe workflow, anticipate potential schedule changes, and coordinate with superintendents on delivery of materials and staying on schedule.Provide project administrative management of awarded contracts.Responsibilities include, but are not limited to: The Project Engineer draws from their training and experience to successfully manage various size railroad projects to support company business growth and profitability goals.
